And that’s how it was at our recent VIP event when our exciting new range of handicrafts from Tanzania was launched.
Mingling and chatting over a selection of local Gippsland wines, ciders and beers, guests saw first hand how local Tanzanian artisans are looking beyond their traditional beading culture to create ornate pieces crafted from recycled, repurposed and previously discarded items.
The looks of recycled brass jewellery, historic coins minted there by the British last century, integrated with traditional glass beads were sought after pieces. Thoughtful purchases of artisan made bracelets, necklets, baskets, and clothing will all bring profound benefits to their makers and of course funds all help influence positive education outcomes in Tanzania.
Always thankful for those opportunities generated from sales.
The new range will be available for purchase from our Port Albert outlet, Out of Africa Gallery, from Saturday June 10th.
